Marudi Rough Road

From Marudi-Miri
Aprrox less than 2 hours journey by land transportation.

Not advisable to travel after and during rain as the road is very very slippery.

A day after we came back from Marudi, a family of four died in a tragic accident while using this road.

They drowned in their own 4-wheel car after their hilux flipped upside down into a deep drain beside the rough road (See 1st, 2nd and 3rd pics. There's a drain alongside the road actually. Thats where the car sinked into the mud and the drain's water from the yesterday's rain flowed into the car) .

Oh..i didnt update my blog so long d..T_T
(Busy with overloaded works, vacation and holiday break around Nov-Dec (to KL, Lawas, KK), Christmas +New Year celebration, etc etc)

Just a quick update for few things.

Things to do for the First 4 months of 2010:

-> Get a job. I quit my job at the end of Nov T__T
-> 3rd Year Anniversary on 23rd Jan (who ever guess we could last this long huh?)
->Valentine & CNY maybe at Miri @ Marudi. (Plan to introduce him to Grandparents)
-> My (16th) Birthday on 23rd Feb.
-> Sis's graduation on 15@16th March.
-> Ex-Roommate/Godsister Wedding on 17th March
-> Travel+Vacation to Jakarta on early April.

I really hope my girlfriends could travel together with me to Jakarta :)

KL Trip Report: Day 4: Genting Highland, here we come!

(Day 3 spent to drive from Cherating back to KL)

Not my First Time, and definitely not gonna be my Last.

We reached Genting from Cherating around 6-7pm on the 28th July.

Haha, we got time to play this as well (my fav. game).
I brought back 4 plushies and sadly the one that i really managed to get is only that Purple Gorilla and the others, contributed by him.


The only time i dont wear my sunglasses. *Blushes*
Btw, i wanted to ride on that thing!


Actually, we're suppose to overnight at Genting on the 27th July, but unfortunately all rooms were fully booked.
We're already tired and its really taken our mood away since all hotels are not available except 1 hotel which cost RM 1,200.00 per night.
Then there's one 'ulat' offer us a room in Apartment Ria for RM 150.00 per night.
Kinda weird because all place like fully booked but there's some place that are still unoccupied.
That ulat keep bug us to take the room but since my partner was suspicious of it, so we decided to decline the offer and head back to KL.
On our way back,I called my Sis, and she warned me not to overnight there since Apartment Ria is the famous haunted place in Genting (issit true?).

So, on the way head down from Genting, we stopped at Gohtong Jaya.
We saw there's TWO hotels there, Sri (or Seri) Malaysia Hotel and Gohtong Jaya Hotel.
We thought Sri Malaysia was pretty nice and asked for rooms but sadly it were fully booked as well.
So we try our luck at Gohtong Jaya Hotel and to our surprises, rooms are still available.
When we had paid the deposit, the receptionist took a room key in the drawer and we saw the other room keys were stored in running number. (Which means no one had rented the room in Gohtong Jaya except for us!) Gulp!
So I called my sis again, and she told me to head back and stay in KL rather than overnite at other places in Genting as it was pretty creepy.
Then he had to go back to the counter and give them a hell of bullshit stating his wife received an emergency call and need to head back to KL soon. The receiptionist refuse to refund the deposit, so he went to talk with the manager and the manager agreed to return the deposit (of course la, we didnt even step our foot into that room yet!)
We just couldn't bear the thought of having another haunted room after our unpleasant experience at Cherating Resort. huh huh.

On Afternoon 29th July we came back to Genting again for second time but this time, we planned not to overnight as i got creeped out by my sis with her ghost story..hehehe.
